I was diagnosed with dyslexia within my first few years of elementary school. Learning did not come easily to me, and I struggled to keep up with my peers. However, I was blessed to have an incredibly supportive and kind teacher who not only helped me navigate my challenges but also instilled in me the confidence to succeed. Her motto was alway "I can do it" which I hope to bring to my future students. Her patience, encouragement, and belief in my potential transformed my educational experience, allowing me to see myself as a capable and intelligent learner. As a result, my journey as an honors student began, and continued through college, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude.
As I progressed through school, I encountered both highly effective teachers and those who struggled to meet the needs of students like me. I experienced firsthand the profound impact a great teacher can have, and I also saw how a lack of support or understanding could discourage students from reaching their full potential. These experiences shaped my passion for education and fueled my desire to become a teacher who makes a difference.
My goal is to be one of those highly effective teachers—one who supports, motivates, and empowers all students, regardless of their challenges. I want to create a classroom where every student feels valued, capable, and excited to learn. By fostering a love of learning and providing the support each student needs, I hope to inspire them the way my teacher inspired me. Teaching is not just a profession for me; it is a calling rooted in my own journey, and I am committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of my students.
