Audra Nicole Davison, MFA, is an author and filmmaker based in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Spelman College in 2022, where she created Green, a documentary about the experiences of Black Americans raised in suburbia, now an Official Selection at the 2024 Tokyo International Short Film Festival.
Afterwards, Audra received a grant from META and the Blackhouse Foundation to produce her animated short The Hale Academy, which is based on her research into the Kingdom of Kongo and Sierra Leone's secret societies. She also self-published an ebook, The Hale Academy: A Trip to the Kalunga. In 2025, Audra would go on to publish full length novel entitled The Hale Academy: A Realm Unknown. The short film, ebook, and novel all explore Africana spirituality and feature students at a magical HBCU. The film is available on Amazon Prime Video, and the books are on Amazon as well.
In 2024, Audra earned an MFA in Narrative Media Writing from the University of Georgia, where she wrote the script for Chronically Online. She produced, directed, and edited the film, which explores the socio-economic impact of social media on creatives. Chronically Online is an official selection in six film festivals, with five short film awards, and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Audra is also a Communications Specialist at Alight Solutions.
