By accessing or using Meem AI (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the application.

By using Meem AI, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

Meem AI is a mobile application available on Android and iOS platforms that allows users to upload or select images and generate AI-powered captions, including Sinhala and English memes and stickers.

All captions and outputs are generated automatically using artificial intelligence systems and are not manually reviewed or curated.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Meem AI generates content using automated artificial intelligence systems.

By using the app, you acknowledge and agree that:

• All captions are AI-generated

• Content may be:

  • inaccurate

  • misleading

  • offensive

  • inappropriate

  • culturally insensitive

Meem AI makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of any generated content.

Meem AI does not control, endorse, or guarantee any AI-generated content.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree that you are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing all generated captions before use

• Deciding whether to use, share, or distribute any content

• Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and regulations

You acknowledge that:

• You use AI-generated captions at your own risk

• You are fully responsible for any consequences resulting from their use

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Meem AI to:

• Generate or distribute hate speech

• Harass, abuse, or threaten others

• Defame individuals or entities

• Engage in illegal activities

• Misuse AI-generated content in harmful or deceptive ways

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Meem AI, including its design, features, and technology, are owned by Meem AI.

• Users retain ownership of images they upload or use.

• AI-generated captions:

  • Are provided “as is”

  • Do not guarantee ownership, exclusivity, or intellectual property rights

7. Tokens & Virtual Items

Meem AI uses a token-based system to access features.

• Tokens have no real-world monetary value

• Tokens cannot be:

  • transferred

  • exchanged

  • redeemed for cash or goods

• Tokens are non-refundable

• We reserve the right to modify, remove, or reset tokens at any time

8. Third-Party Services

Meem AI uses third-party services, including:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, backend services)

• Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and Microsoft (user authentication)

• Google AdMob (advertising and rewarded ads)

• Google Gemini API (Google LLC) — processes photos you choose to generate captions

• WhatsApp (optional sticker export integration)

These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Caption generation requires your explicit in-app consent before photos are shared with Google Gemini.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Meem AI at any time, without prior notice, if:

• You violate these Terms

• You misuse the app or its features

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Meem AI is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy of AI-generated content

• Reliability or availability of the service

• Fitness for a particular purpose

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Under no circumstances shall Meem AI be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

• The use or misuse of AI-generated captions

• Any offensive, inaccurate, or inappropriate content

• Your reliance on generated outputs

• Inability to use the app

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Meem AI, its owners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from:

• Your use of the app

• Your use or distribution of AI-generated captions

• Your violation of these Terms

• Any harm caused to third parties through your actions

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of your applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
