Michael Liang

Michael grew up in Indiana before moving to the marshes of coastal Georgia. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from Yale University in 2016, where he worked under Tim Newhouse on the scalable synthesis of cyclohexenone building block molecules. At UNC, Michael developed novel stereoselective reactions utilizing 1,1-organodiborons. Outside of the lab, Michael enjoys hiking, biking, and experimenting in the kitchen.
