1.2 Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using MedPet, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, we recommend not using the application.

2. APPLICATION NATURE

MedPet is a veterinary medication management application that operates 100% offline, without collecting, storing, or transmitting personal data to external servers or third parties.

Fundamental principle: Your data remains exclusively on your device, under your full control.

3. LOCALLY STORED DATA

MedPet stores the following information only on your device:

Pet Information - Name: Locally encrypted database.

Medications - Name, dosage, frequency, schedules: Locally encrypted database.

Notes and Observations - Record of symptoms, reactions: Locally encrypted database.

Administration History - Dates/times of administered doses: Locally encrypted database.

Voice Transcriptions - Text converted from audio for notes: Locally encrypted database.

Extracted Texts (OCR) - Information from processed prescriptions: Locally encrypted database.

Important:

· ❌ We do not store prescription images after processing

· ❌ We do not store transcription audio files

· ❌ We do not send data to cloud or servers

· ✅ You can export PDF reports for voluntary sharing

4. APPLICATION PERMISSIONS

4.1 Camera (CAMERA)

Purpose: Capture images of veterinary prescriptions for typed text extraction via OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

Processing:

· Image processed instantly on device

· Text extracted and stored locally

· Original image automatically discarded (not saved)

Technology: Google ML Kit (local processing)

4.2 Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)

Purpose: Allow voice-to-text transcription in notes and medication records.

Processing:

· Real-time speech-to-text conversion

· Audio is not recorded in files

· Audio is not stored or transmitted

· Only transcribed text is saved locally

Technology: Android native Speech-to-Text

4.3 Storage (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES)

Purpose:

· Export PDF reports to Downloads folder

· Access gallery for manual prescription selection (if user prefers)

User Control:

· You choose when and where to save PDFs

· Can delete exported files at any time

4.4 Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

Purpose: Display medication reminders at scheduled times.

Operation:

· Alarms configured locally on device

· No data sent to notification servers

· Customizable sound and vibration

4.5 Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, USE_EXACT_ALARM)

Purpose: Ensure precision in medication administration times.

Medical Justification:

· Veterinary treatments require strict punctuality

· Medications like insulin depend on exact times

4.6 Auto-Start (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED)

Purpose: Restore scheduled alarms after device reboot.

Operation:

· Automatically reschedules active reminders

· Ensures treatment continuity

· Does not perform background actions beyond alarm restoration

4.7 Power Control (WAKE_LOCK, VIBRATE)

Purpose:

· Ensure alarms sound even with screen off

· Vibrate device during medication notifications

4.8 Internet (INTERNET)

Purpose: Used only for:

· Initial app download from Google Play Store

· Google ML Kit (OCR library) - 100% local processing, no data sending

Important:

· App works completely offline after installation

· No server communication during normal use

· We do not collect analytics, statistics, or telemetry

5. DATA NOT COLLECTED

MedPet DOES NOT collect, store, or process:

❌ GPS location data
❌ Phone contacts
❌ Browsing history
❌ Advertising identifiers (Ad ID)
❌ Biometric data
❌ Payment information
❌ Login credentials (app has no account system)
❌ Usage data or analytics

6. DATA SHARING

6.1 With Third Parties

We do not share data with third parties. MedPet has no integration with:

· Social networks

· Advertising platforms

· Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)

· Cloud storage services

6.2 Voluntary User Sharing

You may choose to:

· Export PDF reports and send them manually to veterinarians/family

· Share information by copying texts from the app

These sharings are your sole responsibility.

7. DATA SECURITY

7.1 Local Protection

· Encrypted database (Hive Database)

· No internet transmission

7.2 Data Deletion

You can delete:

· Individual medications

· Pets and all associated data

· Complete treatment history

· Entire database via app settings

· Uninstalling the app permanently removes all data

8. USER RIGHTS

You have full control over your data:

✅ View all stored data at any time
✅ Edit pet, medication, and note information
✅ Export complete PDF reports
✅ Delete partial or total data whenever desired
✅ Uninstall the app for permanent removal of all data

Contacting the developer is not necessary to exercise these rights - everything is managed directly in the application.

9. MINORS

MedPet is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. Use delegated to minors under 18 is the responsibility of parents/guardians for managing family pet medications.

We do not intentionally collect data from children.

10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

10.1 Google ML Kit (OCR) and OpenCV (Image preprocessing)

· Processing: 100% local on device

10.2 Flutter Framework

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:
