Consecrated 29th March 2023
The "Maleth" Conclave No. 38 was Consecrated on the 29th of March 2023 in the Masonic Hall, Valletta, Malta, by the Most Illustrious Grand Master, M Ill Bro Jonathan Charles Roberts, assisted by a team of Grand Officers. There were 11 Founders.
Melite or Melita was an ancient city located on the site of present-day Mdina and Rabat, Malta. It started out as a Bronze Age settlement, which developed into a city called Maleth under the Phoenicians, and became the administrative centre of the Island. Another theory as to the origin of the name Malta argues that it comes from the Phoenician word 'Maleth' meaning a haven. This is thought to be in reference to the Island's many bays and coves offering shelter to seafarers.
The Regular Meetings of the Conclave take place at
the Masonic Hall, 6 & 7 Triq Marsamxett, Valletta, VLT 1850, Malta,
on Friday before the 1st Saturday in May & October (Inst).
