MediSimple - Privacy Policy

Introduction

MediSimple ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the MediSimple application.

Information We Collect

MediSimple is designed with your privacy as a priority. Here is what you should know:

Medication Data

All medication names, dosages, schedules, dose records, and related health information are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is never uploaded to our servers and is never shared with any third party.

AI Features

When you use AI-powered features such as the AI Chat Assistant, Smart Snooze, Daily Greeting, Weekly Summary, or Missed Dose Guidance, your medication names and relevant context are sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) to generate responses. No personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or device ID is included in these requests. Anthropic's privacy policy can be found at https://www.anthropic.com/privacy.

Speech and Voice Input

When you use the voice input feature to add medications, speech recognition is processed by Apple's Speech framework on your device. Audio recordings are not stored or transmitted by MediSimple.

Notifications

MediSimple uses local notifications to remind you to take your medications. These notifications are scheduled and managed entirely on your device. We do not use push notification servers.

Subscription Data

If you subscribe to MediSimple Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details.

Information We Do Not Collect

MediSimple does not collect any of the following:

- Your name, email address, or contact information

- Location data

- Device identifiers or advertising IDs

- Usage analytics or tracking data

- Browsing history

- Photos, contacts, or calendar data

Data Storage and Security

All medication and health data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed. We do not maintain any external databases or cloud storage for user data.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used by MediSimple is Anthropic's Claude API for AI-powered features. This service receives only medication-related context necessary to generate health tips and responses. No personal identifiers are transmitted.

Children's Privacy

MediSimple is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
