The Medina Invitational Tournament is sadden at the loss of one of the best advocates for wrestling in Ohio and the nation. Vince Matteucci. Vince is a Hall of Famer on the National and State level as an official, a state champion wrestler for Cleveland West in 1951, and help build the Medina Invitational Tournament, along with Founder Jim Houghtaling, into a major Ohio tournament. Many of his official brothers and wrestling family have great memories of him and he will live on in our hearts. Thank you for your service, Vince, and our iconic Medina Invitation logo which you designed. Our condolences to Vince's daughters, grandchildren and great-granchildren as well as his other family and his Ohio wrestling family. 

Our condolences to all of our M.I.T. families on your losses in 2020 and 2021. We have lost a lot of valued fathers, mothers, siblings, grandparents and more. We will hold them in our hearts.
