Hi there! My name is Lusha, I am the owner and operator of Media Haven International. I know, weird photo for first introduction. - However, from where I stand, it's not.

If you are confused, that is why we are here. To explain the basic and intricacies of sub-culture. Through logic, understanding, general basic respect of people and their lives, loves, and passions. I am a (fake) bloodied mess in this photo as I represent quite a few subcultures myself. This was from my "Saya Otonashi" - "Blood plus" photo shoot.

As you continue to follow Media Haven International on our website, join us at events, social media, or our press releases, you will experience first or second hand just how versatile sub-culture can is.

Through creating a haven for all forms of media through our website, social media, live events, and so much more, we are working to normalize the notion that as long as it's not harming others or yourself, do with your passions as you please.

The Sub-cultures; at the founding of this organization, are often rejected or secluded to specific events, misunderstood, feared, or hated for no logic or factual based reasons. I believe that through exposure, education and understanding, we can bridge the useless gap that has been long standing. I couldn't just sit back and watch it to continue, so I didn't.

I acted. I started Media Haven to show main stream society that fandom, sub-cultures and sub-communities are nothing to be feared or hated. I have watched so many people grow and expand their passions into real life skills. I have also watched as those people are passed by with no one appreciating the hours, weeks, months, and yes, years of work that went into their personal development, product, service, art, or into the communities surrounding that person.

I would like to expand personal growth for all persons through their Sub-cultural passions. I love to see the transformations each person has as they continuously branch out into different areas of practical study. Cosplay teaches sewing, pattern making, and designing. Prop making teaches basic engineering, wood working, and of course the most important lesson any sub-culture teaches, interpersonal interactions. ("People skills")

Media Haven International is a show-case of what sub-culture and alternative life styles truly are; Not just through photos and publications, but by experience and awareness.

As of September 2015, Media Haven has been working to expand our efforts and our reach through services rendered, however these services are costly to provide.

If you would like to support our mission as Media Haven continues to show the realities of alternate life styles, please donate. Any amount and donation will help our organization running. You can donate to us through PayPal By Clicking here.
