ABOUT THE PROJECT
This collaborative project brings together partners from Spain, Turkey, Italy, Romania, and Greece, united by a shared objective: to empower students with the skills to discern between responsible and unethical media coverage. The project focuses on equipping pupils with the ability to differentiate between authentic and fabricated news, identify prejudice, and appreciate impartial reporting of events. Additionally, it aims to educate students on preventing abuse on both traditional television and social media platforms. The overarching goal is to ensure that participants can adeptly recognize patterns of deception in various media, including television, public speeches, and social networking.
Central to the project's mission is the dedication to educating teenagers in media literacy, fostering the development of communication and leadership skills, and facilitating the exchange of ideas across diverse cultures. Collaborative efforts among students involve the evaluation and creation of media content, contributing to the enhancement of their teamwork, intercultural cooperation, and imaginative capacities. Through this shared initiative, the partners aspire to cultivate a generation of individuals who not only consume media critically but also actively contribute to the creation of responsible and ethical content while embracing diversity and fostering creativity.
