Almost all of the masks I make are made from 100% cotton. They are made with 2 layers of cotton fabric, with a pocket in between so someone could add an additional barrier (HEPA filter, coffee filter, etc.) if they wanted to. They also have either a pipe cleaner or bendable metal strip (depending on what I had on hand at the time they were made) that are in a pocket to form around the bridge of your nose. These are removable. You can leave the metal strip in when washing but it is recommended to remove it if you put it in the dryer. It is recommended to air dry. The masks are made with ties that are made of cotton fabric or cotton twill tape. They are not pre-washed and it is recommended that you wash prior to wearing. They are all machine washable but will hold up longer if they are allowed to air dry (they can go in the dryer though). These are NOT medical grade masks. You only wear one to protect others. I am not a professional but enjoy what I do.
