My story - My name is Michelle Eacret and I work for MUSD at the District Office. I have always been a sewer and into crafts for many years. Most of my extra time has been spent making quilts for family and gifts for friends. Then COVID-19 came along.
In the past I would have been called a fabric hoarder but now I was someone with resources, so they say. I started watching Facebook and YouTube videos on how to make masks and found there were so many different designs and needs out there. I came up with a design that was combination of a few others I had seen. I started making them for family members and co-workers. Then I started making and donating them for people on the front lines...Kaiser Santa Clara, a Dental Office worker, a healthcare worker, child and adult size for the Milpitas Rotary and workers at my mother's Senior Living facility. I continue to donate to the Milpitas Rotary for Milpitas residents
When the shelter-in-place was extended (the first time) I started getting requests from friends and co-workers asking for me to make more and they'd buy them from me. I never intended to make masks to sell but I was told that masks were hard to find and outrageously out priced. So I started selling them with very little mark up, just to recoup the expenses of material and a bit for my time. I've sold many to fellow MUSD employees. I'm trying to do my part to help local people find masks at a reasonable price. That's how M.E. Designs was developed, with the name suggestion from Cheryl. I only want to sell to friends and my MUSD family.

Pre-Made Masks with ties - These are all made with ties and ready for purchase
Fabrics Available - Pick your fabric and style of mask. Made to order.
While supplies last, I am adding two filters to every mask order. I purchase some filters and some were donated to me. I'm passing them along. See information regarding the masks below. If you would like to purchase filters, please visit NextGen Active.
The website says the filters last up to 3 days depending on use but I was told that was with heavy usage and that some people rinse them out and air dry them and they are good for up to 2 weeks.
