Medcytix: Medical Terms (“Medcytix,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a bilingual medical terminology learning app designed to help students and health professionals learn medical terms through definitions, word parts, pronunciation, flashcards, quizzes, favorites, and structured lessons.
This Privacy Policy explains how Medcytix handles information when you use the App.
Medcytix is designed to be simple, educational, and privacy-respecting.
At this time, Medcytix does not require users to create an account, does not ask users to log in, and does not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, camera data, microphone recordings, or payment information.
Most learning activity inside the App, such as saved terms, progress, selected settings, favorites, flashcard activity, and quiz progress, is stored locally on your device.
Medcytix does not intentionally collect:

Your physical address
Your precise location
Your contacts
Your photos or videos
Your camera data
Your microphone recordings
Your medical records

User-generated health or clinical data
Medcytix is an educational medical terminology app. It is not designed to collect, store, or process personal medical information.
To make the learning experience useful, Medcytix may store certain information locally on your device, including:
Favorite or saved terms
Lesson progress
Quiz progress and selected answers
Flashcard progress
App language preference
Explanation language preference
Theme preference, such as light mode or dark mode
Notification preferences, if enabled
Recent learning activity
This information is stored on your device to help the App remember your progress and preferences. We do not receive this information on our own servers.
You can remove this locally stored information by clearing the App’s data through your device settings or uninstalling the App.
Medcytix may allow you to turn on study reminders or daily learning notifications.
If you enable notifications, the App may use your device’s notification system to remind you to review medical terms, flashcards, or quizzes. These reminders are intended to support learning and study consistency.
You can turn notifications off at any time through the App settings or your device notification settings.
Medcytix does not use notifications to collect sensitive personal information.
Medcytix may include a speaker icon that allows you to hear the pronunciation of English medical terms.
Pronunciation may be handled by your device’s built-in text-to-speech system or related system services. Medcytix does not record your voice and does not require microphone access for pronunciation.
Medcytix may include an “Invite a friend” or sharing feature.
When you choose to share the App, your device may open third-party apps such as email, messaging apps, WhatsApp, Telegram, or other sharing tools installed on your device. Medcytix does not control how those third-party apps process data. Any information you choose to share through another app is handled according to that app’s own privacy policy.
Medcytix may include a “Rate the app” button that opens the Google Play Store page for Medcytix.
When you open Google Play, your interaction with Google Play is handled by Google according to Google’s own terms and privacy policies. Medcytix does not control Google Play reviews, ratings, or Google account data.
Medcytix may include links to useful external educational resources for medical students and health professionals.
If you tap an external link, it may open a website, browser, or third-party app. These external websites and services are not operated by Medcytix. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of external websites or third-party services.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external website or service you visit.
At this time, Medcytix does not intentionally use advertising SDKs and does not sell personal data.
If analytics, crash reporting, advertising, subscriptions, cloud sync, sign-in, or other third-party services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated to clearly explain what data is collected, why it is collected, how it is used, and which third-party services are involved.
Users should review this Privacy Policy after App updates.
At this time, Medcytix may be offered with free access to many learning features, including medical terms, flashcards, quizzes, and lessons.
If paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases are added in the future, payments will typically be handled through Google Play or another authorized payment provider. Medcytix would not directly receive or store your full payment card details. Any payment processing would be subject to the relevant payment provider’s terms and privacy policy.
This Privacy Policy will be updated before or when payment-related features are introduced.
Because Medcytix does not currently operate a user account system or collect personal information on our own servers, we do not sell, rent, or trade users’ personal information.
We may disclose information only if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental request.
Medcytix is designed to minimize data collection. Local learning data is stored on your device and is protected by the security features of your device and operating system.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. However, we aim to reduce privacy risk by avoiding unnecessary collection of personal information.
Medcytix stores learning progress and settings locally on your device for as long as the App remains installed or until you clear the App’s data.
You can delete locally stored App data by:
Using the App’s reset or clear progress option, if available
Clearing the App’s storage/data in your device settings
Uninstalling the App
Because Medcytix does not currently provide user accounts or cloud storage, we do not have a server-side account profile to delete.
Medcytix is intended for medical students, health students, health professionals, and general educational users interested in medical terminology.
The App is not directed to young children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can review the issue.
