The MED-GREEN project investigates the models of local livelihood, green building and sustainable mobility in the Mediterranean areas (Italy, Egypt, French-speaking countries of the Mediterranean area) by stimulating urban, socio-economic and cultural processes ultimately, enhancing and recovering the natural heritage and local common goods.
The project may be structured as follows: 1) examining discursive negotiation and communicative action on issues of environmental management and sustainability; 2) knowing and understanding how different experiences of sustainable development work in different territories; 3) developing “bottom-up” forms of active citizenship, empowerment and sustainable agency; 4) establishing and maintaining constructive and collaborative relationships among coastal Mediterranean dwellers, through intercultural dialogue and transnational cooperation.
