If you would like your child/children to join our Competitive Swim Team – You will need to attend our Competitive Team Tryout (10-15 min evaluation). During our Tryout, your child/children will be evaluated to determine their Swim level, you will also meet the coach/staff and tour our facility. At the conclusion of the tryout your child/children will be assigned to one of the groups or might be offered to attend a trial practice(s).

MECPS Cougars’ Swim Team is the competitive division of our program. Our swim team is USA Swimming registered and competes year-round as part of Metropolitan Swimming. The team is comprised of committed swimmers whose abilities range from our Novice Group of swimmers just beginning their competitive journey to our most experienced Elite Performance Group swimmers competing in National level meets with most aspiring to continue their swimming careers at colleges throughout the nation.
From the moment a swimmer steps onto the pool deck for their first practice they will notice the “Freedom” difference. Our practices are upbeat, positive, and encouraging. Our coaching staff and clinic instructors consist of the most experienced and dedicated individuals that work tirelessly to help every swimmer improve their skills and achieve the greatest success at his or her level of ability.
