Going the extra mile, a determined meal delivery robot ignores yellow crime scene tape and boldly goes right on through the LAPD's cordoned off crime scene to deliver its package to a client!
Bringing a smile to the confused faces of attending officers as it passed, the robot, named Connie managed to dodge the cordon and continue on its mission to deliver its cargo.
It brings a whole new slant to the old saying,
"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
This saying is attributed unofficially as a motto of the mail workers of old.
Connie had a job to do and nothing was getting in its way to prevent its valuable cargo getting to its destination.
With single-mindedness, the robot nonchalantly breezed through the crime scene as if it wasn't there.
Remarkably, nobody stepped in to stop Connie. While civilians are not allowed to enter a crime scene, the rules might be more of a gray area when it comes to robots.
So onward and upward, Connie determinedly pushed on to complete its mission to provide food to the customer. Beverly & Co was the name of the food provider, being one of a number of home delivery meal services operating in the area.
However, it could have just as easily been a delivery by any one of the larger and well known services, such as Hello Fresh, Home Chef, Sunbasket or Blue Apron for example.
