I am an Australian Public Servant with over 9 years of experience in government administration, teaching, research and development. I am currently working as a Regulatory Officer in the Waste and Energy Assessment Section at the Clean Energy Regulator of the Australian Government.
I am an energy and environmental scientist/engineer by training and hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Monash University. My specialisation lies in (but not limited to) energy recovery from waste and biomass using thermochemical conversion technologies such as gasification, combustion, pyrolysis and hydrothermal treatment. In addition, I possess expertise in waste management, resource recycling, and climate change, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of environmental sustainability.
Notably, my strong written communication skills have resulted in publishing 3 book chapters and 22 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals and books. These publications have garnered over 750 citations, underscoring the impact of my contributions. Additionally, I have contributed to 24 internationally renowned conferences and have been honoured with 3 Best Presentation Awards, highlighting my effective verbal communication skills with the audience.
