Conference Paper-01
Impact of Traffic Congestion in Roundabout: A study on Gazipur Chowrasta has been accepted at the 4th International Conference on Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering hosted by Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). Huge thanks to our dedicated team of authors and co-authors for their relentless effort and cooperation throughout this journey. Special appreciation to Sifat Bin Siraj, Motachim Billah, Most Farjana, and Mahadi Hasan for their invaluable guidance and dedication. Traffic congestion in Bangladesh is a major issue due to population growth and vehicle production.Major causes include inadequate mass transit, narrow roads, road blockages, and continuous development work. A study found that 54% of people lose 4-to-5 hours daily due to congestion at the Chowrasta to Mymensingh approach. Road blockage and continuous development work are responsible for 39% and 35% of congestion respectively. The study highlights the discomfort experienced by 55% and 49% of respondents.
Conference Paper-02
I'm excited to announce that I have published a conference paper at the 7th International Conference on Civil Engineering for Sustainable Development (ICCESD-2024) at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna, Bangladesh! 🎉📚
The paper, titled "ASSESSING THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPLICATIONS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON BETEL LEAF CULTIVATION IN MOHANPUR UPAZILA, RAJSHAHI" (Paper ID-706), delves into the profound effects of climate change on betel leaf cultivation, a critical source of income for many households in Mohanpur Upazila, Rajshahi. 🌿💧
Climate change poses significant threats to agricultural systems, especially for vulnerable communities relying on specific crops. Our research employs Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) methods, including community consultations, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and individual interviews, to engage directly with betel leaf cultivators, traders, and other stakeholders. 🗣️🤝
