I am glad to attend the commonwealth connect & collaborate 2025 program at Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London where I got the incredible opportunity to meet and greet the brilliant faces of commonwealth countries. In this auspicious event, I came to learn about the change-makers and their aspects. I met Commonwealth chairman Prof. Robin Mason who shared in his welcome address that only 600 scholars were selected out of 45000 applications from 56 countries-only 1.3% success rate. It's really made me rethink the uniqueness and speciality of being a Commonwealth Scholar. Commonwealth is not only funding the students but also shaping them and showing the path to fulfill the dream. Furthermore, we are 65th cohort and joined a family of 31000 Alumni including nobel prize winners, head of state, prime ministers, speakers, cabinet ministers, vice-chancellor, leading academicians, industrialists and CEOs.
I convey my sincere gratitude to this UK Govt funded scholarship for covering full tuition fee, health insurance fee, clothing, visa flights, dissertation fee, and travel fee. I am deeply grateful to Commonwealth Secretariat Commission for their relentless support. I will cherish this opportunity for the rest of my life. It was not possible to crack the scholarship without the support of my better half. I am grateful to her too. I will try to make a positive change in my home country Bangladesh, and thereafter the world. Inshallah.
