ABOUT ME

I am Md. Shamsul Alam and I am an Assistant Engineer (Electromechanical) of Public Works Department, Govt of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. With a study leave from my government, I have started a postgraduate programme - M.Sc. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at University of Sheffield, UK. It has been ten years I obtained B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering discipline from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), one of the best public engineering universities of Bangladesh. In the last decade, I worked in different multinational and government bodies. I am specialised in electrical machines and drives control system. 

I have been working for the government of Bangladesh since 2019. Prior joining in the public works department from BCS (Public Works) Cadre in 2021, I joined Nuclear Power Plant Company Bangladesh Ltd. and worked for the Construction Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Project under Ministry of Science and Technology, first ever nuclear power program of Bangladesh. Before joining in this state signature project, I worked for few conglomerates too. Over the years, I got experience in power electronics, machines and drives, control, robotics and automation system etc. 

Besides my coursework at undergraduate level, I led some student organizations named Andromeda Space and Robotic Research Organization, Journalist Association, Greater Mymensingh Student Forum etc. holding different elected positions like President, Organizing Secretary, Press Secretary, Co-founder, Research Executive and so on.

My New volunteer organization is Enlightened Chalkpara which is the platform to motivate, organize and guide students for the better life and social values taking the experience from successful people of the locality.

I like to write science based articles in national dailies and organize science related programs.
