Mary D Cundiff

Hello!

I am a neuroscientist interested in motor circuit functions and how they get disrupted in disease.

I am currently a Biological Sciences Ph.D. Candidate at Carnegie Mellon University, where I work with Aryn Gittis, studying motor circuitry in a Parkinsonian mouse model.

With 10+ years of research experience, I have gained many technical skills as well as communication and organizational skills. Having conducted research across a variety of disciplines, I have been exposed to a myriad of scientific topics and techniques and become an expert in the systems neurobiology of the basal ganglia. My intrinsic and passionate curiosity drives my desire to research and understand the detailed world around us. Coming from a non-scientific home, I am well-versed in communicating my research to audiences of various backgrounds.
