The following is the general schedule. Some students may have negotiated a modified schedule, that will be listed in your official acceptance letter if applicable:
July 15: Arrival flight to airport closest to the camp, San Diego International Airport (SAN)
July 15 to 19: San Diego Area
July 19 to August 2: Travelling to different cities (from South to North CA)
August 2 to 5: Stay at San Francisco, Departure at SFO

Program Summary
Age requirement: Between 18 and 22 years old*
Applicant should be at least 18 years old.
Official language: English
Max participants: 16 ( 12 overseas students and 4 CA students)
Camp fee: $800.00 USD
Application Process
Application Process
Prospective students should complete the linked application and email to: apply [at] Youth Exchange [dot] CA Lions Clubs [dot] org (of course, replacing [at] with the @ sign, [dot] with a period, with no spaces to form a proper email address).
A complete application packet should include:
Completed application form (either version), preferably typewritten, endorsed by your local sponsoring Lions club and District YCE chairperson. Signatures can be electronic, embedded images, or provided separately via a separate scanned signature page.
Passport photo and family photo
Valid passport and authorization to travel to the United States
International insurance card
Introduction letter to prospective host family
If accepted, further information and instructions on payment will be provided via email.
