Liz Crooke from Salinas, California, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as an international director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 107th international convention in Orlando, Florida, USA, July 13 through July 17, 2025.
Director Crooke holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Administration of Justice from California State University - San Jose. She spent 35 years working in public safety and public service, retiring as a management analyst from the County of Monterey in California.
A Lion since 1996, Director Crooke has held several offices within the association including zone chairperson, region chairperson, district leadership chair, district membership chair, district LCIF chair, cabinet secretary, second and first vice district governor, district governor, multiple district-4 (MD) council chair, MD-4 GLT coordinator and MD-4 convention chair.
Additional Lions activities include serving on the faculty for 11 Lions International Institutes, organizing five California Lions Leadership Institutes, managing the Salinas Host Lions Eye Care Project, serving as a DG-E group leader and charter president of the California Lions Toastmasters Club.
Director Crooke has received numerous awards including two Presidential Awards, a Helen Keller Fellowship, an MD 4 Excellence Award, three International President Medals, two Leadership Medals, and 10 International President’s Certificates.
She is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
