COMPREHENSIVE EYE CHECK- UP

At MCVI, we perform various tests and procedures to examine eyes which may range from simple ones like vision testing to complex test including retina examination to see inside the eye. These will evaluate not only your vision but health of your eyes. The comprehensive eye examination may take half an hour or so, depending upon the condition of the eye.

The tests will include detailed history, vision assessment, eye glasses power, Binocular eye assessment, colour vision, slit lamp examination, retina imaging, intraocular  pressure etc.

Recommended Schedule Of Routine Eye Examination:

• First eye examination: between 2 to 5 years of age (* infants if any issue observed )

• School Age Children (6 to 19 years): Annually or for those wearing Eye glasses should be checked every six months.

• Adults: Every 2 years or those wearing Eye glasses or some with ocular issue should be checked annually.

The eye glass prescription is measured objectively approximated and subjectively verified.

The spectacle power is derived with all clinical findings correlated. The dispensing of customised spectacles is also done at MCVI.

Prof. Monica Chaudhry, has authored books “Low Vision”, Contact Lenses”. Her book on “Refraction and Prescription” is known to be one of the best in prescribing spectacle powers.
