I have spent my career working to improve lives through education. As a special education teacher and later as a professor of educational technology, I have consistently sought practical ways to help people and strengthen communities.
For a decade, I dedicated my time and energy to our schools as a twice-elected trustee. That service gave me firsthand experience with complex public systems, responsible governance, long-term planning, and the importance of listening carefully to the people we serve.
I have also remained actively involved in our city by serving on the Environmental Commission, participating in the Saline Leadership Institute, engaging regularly with Saline’s Coalition for a Quality Community, and leading an effort to improve pedestrian safety.
Through these experiences, I have come to believe that Saline would benefit from leadership grounded in collaboration, thoughtful decision-making, and action. I am running for mayor to bring my lifetime of experience in education, public service, and community engagement to City Hall.
