Barbara Koffman was a dedicated reading clinician whose passion for literacy ignited countless minds. Throughout her career, Barbara dedicated herself to transforming the lives of students through the power of reading. Her unwavering dedication inspired generations of educators and learners alike. She was a beacon of kindness and ancouragement, always ready to support her colleagues and students. In honor of her memory, the Barbara Koffman scholarship has been established to support aspiring educators who share her committment to literacy and compassionate teaching.

Each spring, The Manitoba Council of Reading Clinicians offers scholarship opportunities of up to $1000 to support pre-service clinicians undergoing graduate studies in clinical reading, or current clinicians advancing their studies. If you are currently studying to become a reading clinician, or are a reading clinician advancing their education, please consider applying.
