March - May 2021
For our second project, members decided that they wanted to expand their outreach and partner with the Oregon Food Bank. MCOG partnered with a local food cart in SW Portland called Peeple's Baking. In the end, our members were able to donate $1,000! At the same time, we also took the time to write letters to seniors as Covid-19 has forced many to be isolated from family and friends.
January - February 2021
Creation of MCOG and our first project with Hunger Fighters where we ended up donating 786 items! We wanted our first project to be food related because the pandemic has caused a growing number of families to not have enough food and Hunger Fighter has been a great resource.
