Shooting Team
The Baldwin County Marine Corps League Shooting Team consists of members from both the Jesse Andrews Detachment located in Daphne, Alabama (North County) and the Cpl Joseph Whitehead Detachment located in Gulf Shores, Alabama (South County). Our pistol team training calendar begins in January and is built around the annual Marine Corps League postal match competitions which are held nationwide between March 1 to October 31. This competition is administered by Marine Corps League National HQs. Competition is at both team and individual levels in three classes, Service Pistol, Open Pistol and .22LR Pistol.
Service pistol acceptable models are Model 1911 .45 ACP any manufacturer, Beretta FS 92 or M9 9mm, SIG Sauer M17 P320 as well as the Sig Sauer M18 P320 Service pistol, 38 caliber six-cylinder revolvers and new edition Glock 19 9mm ar welcome as well.
Open match pistols may be revolver or semi-automatic handgun larger than .22 caliber and smaller than .50 caliber. .22LR Caliber Match is .22LR rimfire round only.
