If you are a professional photographer or client(s) interested in a farm photo shoot then this booking is for you.  Please carefully read all the information below and contact us if you have any questions.  You must have your own photographer. 

This booking is good for one hour on the farm to take professional photos.  Photographers are allowed a maximum of 3 mini-sessions during a one hour booking.  Photographers and the client(s) must check in with us before starting your photography session(s).  Please arrive on time for your appointment.  


Cost: $50 + sales tax / hour  

(Total with tax: $53.63/hr)

Payment is taken at the farm on the day of your photo session.  We accept credit card, cash, Venmo, & Cash App.  A booking may be extended while on the farm at a rate of $25/@ additional 30 minutes.  You are responsible for monitoring your time on the farm.  We offer a 5 minute grace period at the end of a session. Additional time costs will be incurred in $25 increments once you exceed the 5 minute grace period.

All liability is assumed by the photographer and the client(s) while on the farm.  We recommend close-toed shoes and socks above the ankle as a precaution against ants while on the farm.  There is a gravel parking lot on the farm for use during your session.  


May 12th update:  We now have a large ADA compliant restroom on the farm which can also serve as a simple changing room if needed.

Photographers and the client(s) understand that there may be other paying visitors on the farm picking flowers or taking photos during your booking.  Be respectful to all visitors while on the farm.  Photographers and the client(s) agree to stay within the agreed upon areas of the farm explained during check-in.   Be respectful of the farm property and our private home.  Refrain from stepping on any flowers while taking photos.

The farm is open rain or shine.

Photographers or the client(s) may choose to pick flowers during or after a photography session.  Flower picking is not included in this booking and must be paid for separately.  Please let us know at check-in if you wish to pick flowers.

McLawland Farms reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a booking at anytime. A full refund will be offered if one is due. 

Photographers and the client(s) agree to all of the above mentioned terms & conditions by completing a professional photographer booking.

May Photography & Flowers

Here's a look at our front field in the picture above on May 6, 2024.  We are obviously still very green and in growing mode.  Our spring meadow did not materialize as we had hoped.  But we'll try again for next year!  I do think we'll see pops of color later on though.  And our black-eyed Susans are lining up to be as beautiful as ever across the front of the farm!  I expect they will start blooming by the last week of May and hit peak bloom around June 15th.

Before coming out for your farm visit, please read & understand the NC agritourism liability notice.  

Please wear appropriate close-toed shoes & socks above the ankles as a precaution against ants.

Hats, sunscreen, and a water bottle are recommended items to also bring.

Kindly leave all pets at home.

AGRITOURISM ACTIVITY LIABILITY


We are excited to welcome you to our farm.  As a visitor, you will be participating in one or more agritourism activities.  An agritourism activity is any activity carried out on a farm or ranch that allows members of the general public, for recreational, entertainment, or educational purposes, to view or enjoy rural activities, including farming, ranching, historic, cultural, harvest-your-own activities, or natural activities and attractions.  An activity is an agritourism activity whether or not the participant paid to participate in the activity.


WARNING NOTICE


Under North Carolina law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity.  Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death.  You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
