ROI means Report of Officer Installation. It records officers who have been installed and supplies the information used for official notices and convention credentials. Use the current official form below; only list officers who have been installed.
Hold the annual election and installation between September 1 and May 15. Installation must occur no later than the last day of the month following the election.
Ensure the completed ROI is signed, dated, and submitted to the Department and National within 14 days of installation. The detachment and installing officer should coordinate completion and confirm receipt.
National must receive the annual detachment ROI by June 30. National Bylaws Section 940 states that the detachment is not in good standing if this report is not received.
When an officer changes during the year, install the replacement and submit an updated ROI for the affected position.
Select a qualified installing officer under current NAP Section 6015 and coordinate with the Department Commandant. Apply the adopted 2026 changes when using the currently posted form.
Hold the annual election and installation between September 1 and June 30.
Submit the complete, signed Department ROI to the applicable recipients within 14 days of installation.
National must receive the annual Department ROI by July 31.
When an officer changes during the year, install the replacement and submit an updated ROI for the affected position.
Use National’s current Detachment or Department form, as appropriate.
Enter the exact organization name, detachment number when applicable, organization Profile ID, EIN and incorporation information requested on the form.
Verify the installed officers’ names, positions, Profile IDs, email addresses and telephone numbers.
Complete the election and installation information, required signatures and other applicable fields.
Keep the signed report and submission confirmation in restricted internal records. Do not post the completed ROI in a public resource folder.
An ROI copy received for Division tracking can be marked Received/Good with its installation date or report year. That entry does not establish that National received the report on time. Retain evidence of submission and confirm National receipt when needed.
For a detachment ROI, send the signed report to the jurisdictional Department and National Headquarters. The current official form permits emailing them simultaneously. For a Department ROI, send it to National and the other applicable recipients.
National ROI submission: jfoster@mcleague.org.
Department recipient: use the current address designated by your Department for ROI submissions.
Midwest Division tracking copies: Jim Maevers, JimMaevers@outlook.com, and Sarah Covert, sarah.e.belden@gmail.com. These copies do not replace Department or National submission.
Include the organization’s official name and detachment number if applicable, Profile ID, state, installation date, whether the report is annual or revised, and the sender’s name and MCL position. Attach the complete signed ROI.
National Bylaws Sections 855 and 940 establish the Department and detachment deadlines. Read NAP Sections 5015 and 6015 with the approved 2026 installation amendments. The National public Library currently posts the November 2025 forms linked below. Those form instructions predate the adopted 2026 procedural changes; the current governing rules control.
