Hello! My name is Ms. Latimer, and I currently serve as McKinley CLA’s College Counselor for the 2025–26 school year. I am here to support students and their families as they navigate the postsecondary planning process. My focus is on college and career readiness, which means guiding students through applications, scholarships, financial aid, and career exploration.
I am a proud graduate of McCluer North High School. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communications with a certificate in Conflict & Dispute Resolution from Missouri State University. I earned my Master’s degree is in Higher Education at UMSL and I am now pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Practice, focusing on College Access and Student Services in Higher Education at UMSL as well.
My professional experiences include teaching, advising, and mentoring in a variety of educational settings. I’ve worked as a College & Career Readiness Teacher at KIPP St.Louis High School, Resident Counselor at Parsons School of Design in New York City , and was a College Advisor College Bound STL. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals, discover their paths, and see higher education as an open door of opportunity.
Outside of work, I’m a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., a small business owner called Pretty Little Candle Company LLC and the Head Cheer Coach for Ritenour High School.
