About PTO

Mission

Our mission is to build a strong connection between home and school. With the help of staff, parent/guardians and the community, PTO will be able to enhance upgrades to the school and provide academic and enrichment. We will fulfill our mission through open communication, volunteer opportunities, as well as event and financial support.

Meet The PTO Baord

Darci Heritage - President

I am thrilled and honored to be

your PTO President this year! This will be our fifth year at McKinley with our 4th grader, Crosby and my fourth year on

the PTO board. Our family loves traveling, reading, sports, movie & game

nights and all things Lego! As lifelong eagles, My husband and I have been involved with PTO since our student started

at McKinley, PTO does amazing things to impact the school (students and staff) and we loving being

even a small part of that. Since being on the PTO, I have not only gotten to know the staff well but I've made lifelong friends with other

parents. I'm so looking forward to serving as your PTO President

and promise to continue the PTO mission, provide support to our students & staff and crush all the goals we set out to

reach! Please reach out with any questions or ideas you have as well as if you'd like to volunteer

with PTO!

Megan Cable - Vice President

I'm Megan Cable, I'm a stay at home mom of four little

eaglets. My husband Brian and I have been married for almost 11 years now. Our oldest eaglet Lily will start 4th grade. Our next eaglet is Henry who will start 3rd grade. The next eaglet is Olivia who will start 1st grade. Our youngest eaglet is Lucas who is starting flight school, and is very excited to join his big siblings at

McKinley! This will be our third year at McKinley. The eaglets are most looking forward to seeing all their friends again and making new ones. I am most excited to start this school year as the

Vice President of the PTO! We are a big theatre family, whether that is participating in local plays or attending a show, you will most likely find us at

Stained Glass Theatre Joplin. I love painting and crafting in my free time and sharing life

skills with new friends. My main goal is to improve

parent involvement with the PTO and I am ready to jump

right in.

Ariana Coleman - Secretary

IHello to my fellow McKinley

Eagles, Ariana here! Ten years ago, my husband and

I began building a life together. Along the way, I became a stepmom to two amazing boys, and together we've since

welcomed our youngest son. As a family, we enjoy spending time together, whether we're cheering on our favorite sports teams, playing sports, listening to/playing music, fishing, camping, or making memories

with family and friends. When I'm not managing the chaos of living in an all-boy household, you can catch me spending my alone time at my

sewing machine. We became members of the McKinley family last year when

our youngest entered Kindergarten. I am excited to be entering my second year as a PTO member, this time serving as

the Board Secretary for the

*26-27 school year. I'm especially excited to help strengthen the connection between our school, the families,

and the community

Mariah Russell - Treasurer

Hi, I'm Mariah and am serving as

treasurer on the PTO board. This is my family's third year at McKinley, with our daughter

Evelyn going into second grade. In my free time I enjoy baking, reading, crocheting, sewing, thrifting, and spending time with our animals. I really just do a bit

of hobby collecting. Our family loves to spend time outdoors; whether in the water, fishing/hunting, or just walking through the woods watching

birds.

I'm so excited to be apart of the PTO board this year after spending last year attending the

meetings. I can't wait to help strengthen the bonds between the school staff and students/parents, and just see what fun things we can

make happen this year!

Holly Mallory - Co-Treasurer

I am excited to continue being apart of the PTO as your

co-treasurer this year! I have been apart of the board for 4 years now. I have a 4th grader, Mitchell who attends McKinley and Lilly who is in 8th

grade at East.

Our family loves all things

MSSU Athletics, running to watch the kids play sports or be in musicals/show choir. We spend all our extra time in the pool or playing

games together. We are looking forward to bringing back some favorites to

the school this year such as

Carnival! I can't wait to work with the new board members and continue to help make McKinley feel

welcoming! I want my child and family to make core elementary memories with their teacher

and school family.
