Speech & Debate

The Texas Forensics Association (TFA) is an organization for speech and debate events across the state of Texas. 

Theatre arts students typically compete in a variety of speech events including Humorous Interpretation (HI), Dramatic Interpretation (DI), Duet Acting, Prose, and Poetry. 

Students attend select tournaments during the season (Sept-Jan) and aim to receive state qualifying points by placing in the finals of their event. Upon receiving 12 state points per event, the student will then represent their school at the annual State TFA Meet in March.
