Welcome! I am currently an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Soonchunhyang University in Korea. Before joining Soonchunhyang University, I worked as an Assistant Professor of Marketing and International Business at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. I received my Bachelor's degree in Statistics and Business Administration (Korea University), an M.A. in Statistics (Columbia University), and a Ph.D. in Marketing (Georgia Institute of Technology). My research focuses on digital marketing, AI-human interaction, sustainable consumption, diversity and social justice, and data-driven decision-making.
My academic journey has been driven by a fundamental question: How do technology and data shape consumer behavior and decision-making? From studying the impact of real-time marketing messages to exploring AI’s role in brand communication, my research aims to uncover insights that contribute not only to business success but also to societal well-being. I am particularly interested in how AI can foster inclusivity, how digital platforms influence sustainability awareness, and how data-driven strategies can promote public health.
In teaching, I emphasize practical, data-driven problem-solving. I have taught courses in Digital Marketing, International Marketing, Data-Driven Marketing, Social Research Methods, and Statistics, focusing on equipping students with analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to bridge theory and real-world applications.
Ultimately, I strive to contribute to a more ethical, sustainable, and data-informed future. Through both research and education, I aim to empower individuals and organizations to make better decisions for a better world.
