What tf does MCFLYNETA even mean?!

McFly & Argentina

The only times that McFly was on Argentinian soil was in 2009 y 2011. You just gotta look at this vid to understand how long it's been lol.

Some of us were lucky enough to see them at that time, but we were only kids. Even though our parents let us go to the shows, some of them didn’t allow some school girls to go meet their idols at the airport, hotel, let alone clubs or pubs where the band went out. Therefore, after 13 years of waiting, we decided "if the mountain won't come to Mohammed, then let's take Mohammed to the mountain".

Now, readier than ever, being 30ish years old fangirls had no point of comparison with being 15 years old fangirl, we could do whatever we wanted. That’s how a group of 8 girls, completely strangers among them, accepted that they needed to venture abroad to see them live again, and why not, finally meet their idols.

And sooner than later, the day that we flew to Rio to see them, and hopefully meet them, arrived. On one hand, we felt as if we’ve been friends forever, because of the shared tweets, the unstoppable Whastapp group, and all the many video calls where we became close friends. But to be honest, it wasn’t until we arrived in Rio that we truly met. As very intense people, we went from never seeing each other before, to share everything 24/7. Some of us rented the McFlyneta House, and others (even though already having paid for the McFlyneta House) decided to book a room at the one and only Hyatt hotel, the same where McFly was staying. Casualty? I don’t think so.

The best day of our lives was the 4th of May, 2024. We still cannot believe it, but in fact, this was not only the first day that the Mcflyneta met in person, but also the first day that the McFlyneta met McFly. Actually, it was funny that we weren’t sure if we should hug our McFlyneta friend first, or a McFly member, since we met at the same time and place. Everything was so exciting. We set Barra de Tijuca beach as meeting point, and during a wonderful sunset in front of the sea, some of the most impressive things of our entire life happened: McFly’s security staff approached us to offer taking a group picture with them, and we got to talk with them, give them some gifties that we prepared with lots of love and illusion. We are proud of being fans of such adorable people: they were super kind, grateful to their fans, and very close and approachable.

We would believe that the 4th May was the best day of our lives, but that was only until we experienced the 5th May: the very expected day of the show. After years of dreaming and anticipating it through millions of videos, we finally went to the best show of our lives, and even the best Mcfly show ever, no doubt. This show took place at Qualistage, a 9k people capacity venue, where all of us, from different POVs experienced the best possible gig. The setlist was unique, indeed, there was a big repercussion among brazilian fans, since some days before they played in Sao Paulo, and due to Rio’s setlist superiority, some “fans” were angry about that. We, on the other hand, were astonished about what we were living. The previous setlist itself was good enough, but for Rio’s show they decided to add hits such as Bubble Wrap, POV, Walk in the Sun, the beloved The Heart never lies song in which lyrics it promesses that Mcfly’s here forever, actually one of us got this song tattooed with the hopes that they would play this, even though they didn’t during the last tours, and the incomparable No Worries.

Why changing it? Our first logo was born with our inicial trip to Rio deJaneiro, but we werent expecting this to grow into a proyecto with a lot of new specific objetives. So, we couldnt be just Mcflyneta goes to rio anymore, that's how McFlyneta Argentina came along to stay and be with us in our future adventures.
