President's Message
President's Message
Welcome, Fellow Educators, Support Staff, and Community Partners!
I am deeply honored and thrilled to serve as your newly elected President of the Montgomery County Education Association. Together, we stand as a united force advocating for educational excellence right here in our community. Our association, rooted in Montgomery County, Alabama, operates under a mission to promote educational excellence by connecting educators and amplifying our collective voice for better funding, resources, and support.
As a proud graduate of Montgomery Public Schools and a lifelong resident of Montgomery, I am personally and professionally invested in the success of our school system and the greater community it serves. This is not just where I live; it's where I learned, where I grew, and where I now lead. I carry that experience with me in every decision, every conversation, and every effort to advocate on your behalf.
As servant leaders and transformational educators, let's champion a learning environment where every teacher, bus driver, custodian, counselor, paraprofessional, and administrator feels valued and empowered. Whether we're mentoring, collaborating, or innovating, our goal remains steadfast: to foster equity, growth, and joy in every classroom.
Over the coming year, we'll take meaningful action, lobbying for improved budgets, nurturing professional growth, and strengthening the bonds within our teams and across our community. We'll support one another, celebrate every milestone, and inject a healthy dose of humor along the way, because let's be honest, we all need a good laugh after a long staff meeting.
In an effort to foster transparency and engagement, MCEA General Assembly meetings will be held on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 4:00 p.m. at the MCEA Office and via Zoom for remote access. Meeting reminders and agendas will be posted in advance via email and on our website. All members are encouraged to attend and bring their voices to the table; your perspective matters.
To every member: thank you for your trust. Let's work together to make Montgomery County schools the very best they can be, for our students, our educators, and our community. The journey ahead is bright, and I can't wait to walk it with all of you.
Theme: "Empowered Educators. United Voices. Stronger Schools."
Onward and upward!
