Emma McDonough is currently a student journalist and a reporter for the Daily Wildcat. She has also been selected as the News Editor for the Daily Wildcat during summer and fall 2025. It is her aspiration to become a national correspondent in American Politics. This site is a portfolio of her published work and some additional projects. She has had the pleasure of being an intern at Ballotpedia, a nonprofit organization seeking to solve a voter information problem, for the past 4 months. For this position, she does extensive work on local political candidates and their stances on different ballot measures. Additionally, Emma has recently completed a summer writing internship position with Children's Hospital Colorado, where she wrote informational pieces on research occurring throughout the hospital, through the format known as "Q-Blog." She also wrote "Just Ask Children's" pieces on children's feelings on nuanced topics, like body positivity, along with patient stories to highlight the voices that really matter. Emma has accepted the opportunity to extend this internship part-time and remote throughout her junior year at the University of Arizona.
