Illinois Association for Home & Coummunity Education was formed in 1924 to help people become better homemakers. Today HCE continues to focus on the home as well as community outreach, volunteerism, cultural arts, international awareness and continuing education.
HCE works cooperatively with the University of Illinois Extension which provides informal eductional classes. You can serve your community and help other by participating in community projects. Develop leadership skills by serving as local, county or state officer. Attend community functions. Prepare and present lessons. Network with other organizations and local businesses.
