Welcome to the Water Conservation and Climate-Resilient Food Growing microlearning resource platform. This site brings together a set of short, practical 1-credit microlearning units focused on water harvesting, water conservation and food-growing practices for households, homesteads, schools and community gardens.
Each microlearning unit is designed for approximately 10 notional learning hours and can be completed on its own or stacked with other units to form a larger 5-credit micro-credential. The units support learning through short study guides, presentations or videos, practical online resources, individual activities, group discussions and reflective tasks.
The learning approach is grounded in the Amanzi for Food social learning approach, which supports practical knowledge uptake through accessible resources, learning networks, action learning and community-based application. This appraoch emphasises making water and food-growing knowledge more usable in practice through websites, training resources, social learning networks and practical demonstration activities.
