Welcome to the Glacier Barrel Bash Futurity, Derby, & Open 4D
For over 28 years, the Glacier Barrel Bash has been a beloved staple in Kalispell, Montana’s Flathead Valley, drawing barrel racing enthusiasts from near and far. Hosted under the Montana Barrel Horse Association (MBHA) District 5, this exciting event has brought together riders of all levels to celebrate the sport and its vibrant community.
In the Fall of 2024, Josie Jakeway approached Win$um Productions with an exciting opportunity: to collaborate on the creation of a Futurity and Derby alongside the Glacier Barrel Bash, pending approval from the MBHA District 5 membership. With the green light, we hit the ground running, combining our expertise to form Win$um and Co.
Our Mission:
At Win$um and Co., our goal is to create a fun, user-friendly experience that encourages open barrel racers of all levels to explore the world of Futurities and Derbies. We're dedicated to providing a top-tier competition with an emphasis on arena setup, ground conditions, and all the finer details that help young horses gain confidence and race strong.

About Josie…
She grew up in Broken Bow, Nebraska. The daughter of a veterinarian father and her mother, the past owner of the “Cornhusker Futurity”, Josie is no stranger to barrel racing. She was a National High School Rodeo Finals Qualifier, College National Finals Qualifier, 4x Badlands Circuit Finals Qualifier, Badlands Circuit Finals Champion, and Dodge National Circuit Finals Qualifier to name a few accomplishments. Josie has now lived in Kalispell for 12 years and is a Registered Nurse currently working for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. Josie is married to Travis, a rep for several companies in the western market including Montana Silversmiths.
About Wendy…
I grew up in Columbia Falls, Montana. After competing in high school rodeo and then college rodeo as an MSU Bobcat, marrying and raising 2 sons who rodeoed, I retired from public education in 2016. Having produced barrel racing events since college and being a past State Director of the National Barrel Horse Assn - Montana (aka MBHA), in 2016 Win$um Productions was formed, putting on an average of 30 jackpots each year and also organizing invitational barrel races as part of the rodeo staff for the producers of Under The Big Sky Music Fest, benefit events and events like Horsepower Collides and a favorite for locals Beauties and The Beasts to name a few. While I am off barrel racing, my husband Ernie, also retired after a 42 year career as an inspector/investigator for the MT Dept of Livestock, spends his time building custom horse freeze brand irons and cattle hot iron brands.
