MYRIAM BENISTY

INSTITUTE OF PLANETOLOGY  & ASTROPHYSICS OF GRENOBLE (IPAG)
and OBSERVATORY OF THE COTE D'AZUR (OCA)

I am a staff astronomer at the Institute of Planetology and Astrophysics of Grenoble (IPAG), currently hosted at the Observatory of the Cote d'Azur (OCA). I teach at the University of Grenoble Alpes. Between 2017 and 2021, I was based at the UMI CNRS institute at the Department of Astronomy, of the University of Chile in Santiago. In September 2024, I will move to the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany.

I studied physics at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Paris (France) as an undergraduate, and did my PhD in astrophysics at IPAG in Grenoble, France. After that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Arcetri observatory in Florence (Italy) and at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg (Germany).

In January 2022, I started an ERC-funded project called PROTOPLANETS. For more details about the ERC program, please check its dedicated website.
