Set peacefully amidst the perennial green cover, University of Hyderabad (UoH) spans about 2000 acres in the prime IT hub of Hyderabad. UoH is amongst one of the inest institutions of higher education in India. It was accredited with Grade ‘A Plus ’ (3.26/4 CGPA) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NACC), the University Grants Commission (UGC) had granted Category 1 autonomy status to the University. UoH has been recognized as an Institution of Eminence (a recognition given to only 10 public institutions in India) by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India

According to the latest Government of India NIRF rankings (2021), the University is ranked 9th best University in the Country. Founded in 1974, UoH also known as Hyderabad Central University(HCU), has emerged as a leading institution of higher education and research. With 12 Schools of study, 18 departments and 22 Centers, the university has over 400 faculty members and over 5000 students enrolled into about 150 different courses of study

LIBRARY

Indira Gandhi Memorial library serves as a resource station to all scholars and has a print collection around four Lakhs volumes that include monographs, text books, back volumes of journals, theses / dissertations, CDs/DVDs. It subscribes to about 600 international journals and about 18000 e- journals.

STUDENT AMENITIES

The university houses 18 hostels, 2 shopping complexes, 4 multipurpose auditoriums, a health centre, and a post office. The entire campus is connected on 1 Gbps NKN connectivity and is Wi-fi enabled. A state of the art student amenities complex is the latest addition


SPORTS & RECREATION

The campus has a multipurpose indoor stadium for games such as Badminton, Table- Tennis, Carroms and Chess. It also comprises a state-of-the-art gymnasium. In addition to these; the university has a decent football eld and a synthetic Tennis Court.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

The University of Hyderabad has a Health Centre managed by a team of doctors, supported by nurses/para medical staff. The health centre catres to the basic O.P treatment with a few beds for emergency cases. Ambulance is available round-the-clock for emergency services.
