Stopping Android 5 support
October 12, 2019
During fall this year I will publish an update for all apps that will target minimum Api 23 (Android 6.0) as it is simply too much effort for me to still keep those very outdated Android versions in the loop.
By setting Android 6 as a minimum for my apps I get that desirable state, that all the code can rely on the new permission system that has been introduced with that Android version. So many conditions can be removed then, which makes maintenance much easier for me.
Code on!
Mike.
