How do you activate the extension correctly?
Mac:
Open the MB app.
Must be open in Chrome
Tap the "Register Device Extension" button. — and you're all set!
The Adult setting requires more than one word on the page to trigger the filter. However, with Adult Very Strict, a simple word can trigger the block. 👇
Basically, in this tab, MB Smart shows the restrictions that Apple Screen Time contains, which can be activated from the filter.
Limit Adult Content: Blocks adult websites while allowing a customizable whitelist and blacklist.
Whitelist: Only allows access to approved websites. (Safari cannot be whitelisted due to an issue in the latest macOS versions)
Unrestricted/No Restriction: Allows all websites but supports blacklisting.
Note: "No Restriction" does not mean the device has no content filters—DNS settings also apply.
5.2 Chrome:
We recommend using Chrome as a whitelist browser on Basic or Pro version.
On the Pro version, the MB extension on the Mac will only work through Chrome.
Explicit Content: Hides explicit music, videos, and podcasts flagged by content providers.
Chats: On Wi-Fi-only devices, the iMessage app is hidden.
Definitions & Lookups: Disables the ability to look up dictionary definitions.
Spotlight Search: If disabled, prevents internet search results.
This section provides the interface for whitelisting and/or blocking sites for the MB Filter and the DNS Filter.
Blocking is always privileged over open sites, for example: "google.com" on the blacklist will block "sites.google.com" even if it is on the whitelist.
6.1 Site Modes
[MB Filter / No images] - This mode will open the site through the DNS without images.
[Fully Open] - The site and its images will be open in the DNS and any browser.
[Blocked] - The site will be blocked on MB Filter and DNS.
[Extension Excluded] - Excludes this site from the extension for PRO users, but will not open the site.
6.2 URL Logs
All sites the device is consulting are filtered through the DNS and are allowed or blocked depending on the user's settings.
Logs for the sites passing through the DNS show information on every log.
MB Smart stores up to 300 logs, which is roughly equivalent to 20 minutes of records.
Every log includes:
State - If the site was OPEN or BLOCKED,
Time - The time this connection happened, device time.
Category - The category of the site, in case it's in the whitelist, or in a Special config allowed logs will show 'custom'.
Url - The site including subdomains, or the whole URL in the case of the MB Smart Browser.
Domain - The domain of the site, if a domain is added to the list will affect all subdomains.
This section contains the top Special Configs options, quick fixes for most common issues, In-app blocks, YouTube options, and more.
This section will provide all customized options available for the device, quick fixes, In-app blocks, and more.

By default, Mb smart will restrict downloading apps from the web and only allow the installation of new applications through the Apple Store.
Third-party Apps
If you need to install a new app outside the App Store, you will need to remove the filter, Install the new app (for example: Chrome), and reinstall the filter again.
If the user needs to install apps outside the App Store constantly ask support to allow installation of .dmg and .iso applications, for this to take effect the filter must be removed and reinstalled.
