Mrs.Nickerson is an outstanding STEM role model for our chapter and our community. She teaches engineering, robotics, biology, and anatomy at Mazama high school. Her infectious enthusiasm and passion for hands on learning make her stand out as a fun and supportive instructor. She is so much more than that though as she strives to ignite a passion for learning in all of her students. She is extremely inclusive, even pushing the quiet and shy students to not only participate, but excel. Mrs.Nickerson demonstrates fantastic character every day that truly reflects everything IRHS stands for. Beyond the classroom, she organizes multiple events, clubs, activities, and opportunities for her students and the community. She holds fundraisers for our robotics program, hosts STEM events, organizes extra build time for robotics students staying after hours on her own time just to keep the door open for them, and regularly engages with our elementary and middle schools to get them involved and excited about transitioning into our high school's programs.
