Hello stars! 🌠I've had some recent changes to my pricing, ToS, wording and such, as well as several clients who have missed or been confused on things related to commissions, so I decided to make a master list of definitions, explanations and FaQ's!Â
Reminder that my ToS needs to be READ by clients, as by purchasing, you are to abide by these rules. If you do not follow my terms, you are risking your order/refund and may be blacklisted in the future. Read commission descriptions and instructions when ordering, especially on limited time deals.
I encourage everyone to read the information below if you're confused and/or want to double check information before submitting an order. You can always contact me if confused at any of my socials, email, etc. Â Including Ko-fi!
✨Do's and Don'ts
Do's: Fantasy, DnD, Sci-fi, RL-based, real images, animals, couples, groups, anime, VTuber, robotic, suggestive, some anthro, NSFW MLM/Masc nudity, Any gender, Any sexual orientation, Any race/skin color, NSFW of intersex/transwomen as long as there are no breasts/vaginas
Don'ts: Â Furry, Sexualized animals or animal-like characters, Fem/Female nudity, NSFW involving women/fem bodies, drugs, Super fetishy content/obscure fetishes(Inflation, feet, body stretching/manipulation), CP(can't believe I have to say this), Hate symbols, NSFW of you doing sexual acts
Do NOT request anything in my "Don'ts" section. If you are concerned your request if under a Don't but aren't sure, message me. Otherwise, do not request it, as I will have to tell you no or ask for an alternative and I don't wish to come off rude :(Â
✨General Definitions
Portrait: In this case, a drawing of a person's face that typically ends around the neck or upper shoulders.Â
Bust: Typically refers to a drawing of a person's face that ends at the shoulders or upper chest. This means busts are a bit bigger than portraits, despite people using them interchangeably! Busts will fall under "Portraits" for pricing, but do keep in mind they aren't exactly the same and do require more work.
Halfbody: A drawing of a person that ends roughly anywhere between the midwaist/belly button to upper thigh.
Waist/Waist up: Another way to refer to halfbodies, though typically confirms the max will be waist or hips.
Thigh/Thigh up: Another-nother way to refer to halfbodies, though confirms the max will be to the midthigh.
Near Full: A drawing that is almost of the full body, but stops just short, typically cutting off the lower leg or feet. These will still count as "Fullbody" for pricing.Â
Fullbody: Drawing of a person's full body, head to toe.Â
Chibi: A drawing of a person that is more cartoonish, round, small and cute. Proportions will be more exaggerated and details are simplified. "Chibi" doesn't always mean fullbody, it just dictates the style.
Icon: I typically use this term when referring to chibi-styled portrait art, but in general is another term for "portrait".
Colored: The image has flats and shading. This used to be separate from rendered, as it's own less detailed option, but now i've merged the two. You can use either term, and I may interchange them, but they mean the same thing now.
Rendered: The drawing has full shading and colors put in. Also referred to as colored now.
Small Companion: A pet, critter, creature or being in some form that is miniscule to at max 2ft(60cm). Typically beings like fairies, cats, racoons, spiders, frogs, and other critters!
Medium Companion: A pet, critter, creature or being in some form that is 2ft(60cm) to roughly 3ft(90cm). Dogs, foxes, around that size. If the companion is more detailed, it will need to be charged as up a size.Â
Large Companion: A pet, critter, creature or being in some form that is 3ft(90cm) to just over average human height. Horses, tigers, lions, crocodiles, moose, etc. If the companion is more detailed, it will need to be charged as up a size.Â
Very Large Companion: A pet, critter, creature or being that is any size over the extent of large. If it's bigger than a horse, it's probably very large! Dragons, elephants, godzilla, you probably get this one!Â
BG: Short hand for background
Couple: Drawing with two people. In size terms, they do NOT have to be romantic! You can order family and friends in the "couples" category, couple is just easier to use than saying "2 characters" every time.
Group: Drawing with three or more people in it. I do these, they're just not able to be listed on Ko‑fi due to their complexity in pricing. Contact me if interested!
✨Fees and Pricing
Anthro: This will fluctuate and depend on each character, since theres a wide variety of uniqueness to character creating. My basic rule is if >50% of their body is animal-like and/or there are 3 or more animal-like qualities or additions, they will be counted as "Anthro" and you will need to pay the fee.Â
So characters with horns, wings and a tail or unique feet or claws WOULD be anthro, even if the rest of them is human. A mermaid would be anthro, because 50% is aquatic. A race that has lots of scaling would be anthro, like Au Ra or Dragonborn. AND...Androids and robotic characters would fall in this same boat!!Â
This fee is mostly due to the extra time it takes me to render those details. Feathers, scales, fur, those things are more complicated than smooth skin.Â
Good rule of thumb if you don't know if your character is Anthro--Ask me or pay the fee to be safe! More than likely if you're questioning it, than the answer is yes.
But...If your anthro character is being sized or positioned in a way where a majority of those details can't be seen, you don't have to pay that fee. For example, you get a bust of a mermaid, or your demon character has their wings and tail hidden under a cloak.
Complexity: This is possibly even more complicated than Anthro, as theres even less clarity. This is roughly for intricate outfits, details, lots of tattoos and piercings, weapons, heavy armor, dynamic or unique poses, very unique pets... things that are complicated and require more time to render than a typical outfit. Same idea applies here as for anthro. If you're not sure if your design counts as complex--Ask me or pay the fee! More than likely if you're questioning it, than the answer is yes.
Background: A background is the drawing behind the main figure or focus. Foreground is the items and space in front of the main figure or focus. Both are classified in background or BG, since they typically are connected.Â
Price varies. Ko‑fi does not let me make too many customizations on that price, so I will ask you to please use your best judgment to make sure i'm paid accordingly-- If it lists background as $20 but you're about to ask for a complex or detailed background(like a library, where i need to render the books, or a workshop full of tools and trinkets) that will take me 4-5 hours to finish, please consider that.Â
✨FaQ
Q: Do you draw _____?
A: Please refer to my Do's and Don'ts first, and then ask if it isn't clear! More than likely, its listed there!
Q: Why don't you draw _____?
A: All of the things I don't draw, I have good reasons not to. Mostly it comes down to comfort, mental health, and morals. What may seem miniscule or like not a big deal can be a very big deal to me because of my experiences. I ask that you PLEASE note what I am not comfortable with and do not ask me to draw these things, as even having to consider it and saying no to a client can be very hard :c I'm always open to doing what I can for clients, but please respect my boundaries, that's my biggest ask!
Q: Can I send you a NSFW/Nude/Sexual reference?
A: First off---Do not send me porn, nudes or extreme fetish material. DO NOT SEND ME REAL PORN OR NUDES. In any way.Â
If you are ordering NSFW art, you may send drawn references, as long as they're not extreme fetish/illegal material(some bondage is fine, your inflation, CP, beastiality, tentacle impregnation, wasteplay is not.)
As for SFW art-- Same rules generally that align with my do's/don'ts. If you really really must send a reference of a character nude or a possibly NSFW piece, I ask that you crop it and censor anything inappropriate(if their faces tell all that its a sexual act, refrain from sending that one). Overall, this mainly applies to feminine anatomy.
Q: What is furry and what is anthro?Â
A: This is an excellent question and i've never been able to put it into words. I'm sure we all know the "furry style"--anything in that area is furry. I'd say anything that is a vast majority animal with only a little "humanness", things that are animals that are standing, walking, talking... But, DnD makes this tough, because dragonborns and the like. It's a difficult line for me, so if you're unsure, feel free to ask me! Just know I will not be drawing animals or animal-esque beings in anything sexual or suggestive or with, um... accentuated assets.Â
Q: Can I order more than one piece at a time/pieces back to back?
A: Absolutely! You are free to order as much as you'd like, as long as you're following my ToS and being considerate of the time multiple orders may take to complete. NEVER feel bad or apologize for ordering multiple pieces or back to back-- You are supporting me, I am so grateful for that!! If i was seriously over run, I will close comms(which i never do) or announce a pause until I catch up.
Q: How do I tip/Where should I tip, etc?
A: You can add a tip to your total when ordering, submit a tip through the "Sponsor a personal work" commission option, or better yet just donate on the front page of my ko-fi!
If you're curious---Donating through the front page option ensure Ko‑fi doesn't take a fee. The "Sponsor a personal work" option makes it so they WILL take a fee, but you're free to to write out and attach images that way if you want to request or suggest something for me to draw, like a certain OC of mine, etc.Â
Q: I don't see something on your price sheet... Can I still request it?
A: YES! I am absolutely open to projects of all types, just not all of them can be feasibly listed on a commission sheet or on ko-fi. I've made prints, merch, iitem/weapon designs, wallpaper, stickers, simple logos and UIs, cover art, game design assets, card decks... I'm open to just about anything, and i'm happy to give you a quote for your project! Please contact me!
Q: I'm ordering fanart. I can skip adding references, right?
A: NO. Please add references, even if its fanart! This helps save me some time trying to find an appropriate image myself, and often times i might not know the character you're ordering or there are several canon depictions and I'm not sure which version you're requesting.Â
Q: I want to do a tarot deck(or similar big project), but can't pay all at once. Can I pay in chunks?
A: Absolutely! We can work out a payment plan or proceed with the order in segments to make it more doable overall. DM me and we can discuss!Â
ADDITIONAL NOTE: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE talk to me in full, respectful, coherent sentences. Do not talk to me like you're texting your friend. You don't have to speak to me overly formal and i don't mind jokes or some light-hearted banter, but please be professional and realize this is a client-seller relationship. Give me all information upfront and in an organized manner. Please reread what you're sending me to make sure it makes sense, there's no typos, misinformation or misleading descriptions and represents what you're requesting. Properly prepare all of your refs and descriptions before ordering and send them to me all at once.Â
I may update this in the future, as new questions or situations arise, so keep that in mind, and if anything above is confusing, let me know and I will fix it!Â
Thank you all as always!Â
