The 10.6 acres of land that surround the Mayfair neighborhood, as well as the roundabout at the entry to the Mayfair neighborhood, are owned and operated by the thirty-four homeowners of Mayfair.
The land is formally owned by the Mayfair Property Owners Association, Inc., a domestic, non-profit corporation registered with the state of Indiana (hereafter referred to as “the Association”).
The Association pays minimal taxes on this property as well as insurance to protect against events such as falling trees that could potentially damage property outside of Association land.
To help defray the annual cost of taxes, insurance, and other projects such as removing trees at risk of falling outside of the commonly held property, an annual fee is assessed to each member household. The fee amount is set annually and allows the homeowner a single vote in determining what happens with the common property.
2025 dues are $300. Checks can be made out to "MPOA" and submitted to the MPOA Treasurer
Special fees can be assessed to complete one-time projects to ensure the property remains safe and compliant with all laws.
Failure to pay annual fees prevents the homeowner(s) from exercising control of the common property during the year they fail to pay.
To reinstate voting rights, the homeowner(s) must pay the annual fees, plus all fees in arrears and all special assessments assessed during the time they did not pay annual fees.
