Auxiliary views are used to show the true shape and size of a feature that is at an angle inaccessible to a typical orthographic view. They are defined by an extension line and an auxiliary view that is perpendicular to the extension line. Hidden and some object lines are optional on auxiliary views in order to reduce clutter and confusion.
