The Allelopathy Model
The grid contains empty spots and two competing species: Resistant (Red) and Susceptible (Blue).
New individuals can only be born into empty spaces, with the probability determined by the number of similar neighbors nearby.
Both species suffer from natural mortality and die at a fixed baseline rate, leaving behind empty spots.
The Resistant species produces a localized toxin that specifically targets the Susceptible species.
Susceptible individuals surrounded by Resistant neighbors die significantly faster than usual due to this toxic effect.
The system is a race between the reproductive speed of the Susceptible species and the chemical warfare waged by the Resistant species.
