Respect is an NGO which promotes Entrepreneurship & Human Values. “RESPECT” has as objectives to train vulnerable groups in entrepreneurship, craftmanship, greenhouse vegetable production (Covid pandemic initiatives), etc.
RESPECT, as an NGO, derives its name from its mission to propagate 'respect for the planet' (Protection of environment), 'respect for our people' (civism, multicultural harmony) and 'respect for entrepreneurs' (who are creators of employment & of goods essential for life while they are subject to all sorts of obstacles in the process).
"RESPECT" has recently been awarded a fund from the Mitsui OSK Lines Charitable Trust to train the vulnerable groups of the South East region impacted by the Wakashio disaster in Entrepreneurship & in Growing Vegetables in Greenhouses".
It also creates awareness regarding Covid issues & against social scourges by broadcasting video clips made with the support of Mauriwood FIAA on social networks.
“RESPECT” is actually building a web platform to network SMEs & NGOs of the Indian Ocean region following the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic.
RESPECT has collaborated with University of Technology, Mauritius, for several social projects such as video campaigns on how to obtain finance to start a small business.
It also partnered with Cernol Group for the Ecogeste Campaign which encourages the recycling of detergent bottles.
